PDF and Document QR Codes

Printing a QR code that points straight at a PDF file is a trap: the day you replace the file, every printed code breaks. Point it at a document page instead, and swap the file underneath whenever you like.

Build your downloads page

A tidy list of PDFs behind one code, replaceable at any time.

  • Build it below, no account needed
  • Edit it after the label is printed
  • Opens instantly on any phone camera

  3. 3 Download it or embed it Print-ready PNG and true vector SVG for your printer, or drop the code straight into your own artwork.
  4. 4 Change it whenever things change Reformulate, move supplier, change a phone number: edit the page and every code already printed follows.

What goes on the page

  • Any number of PDFs, each with its name and file size shown.
  • A short introduction telling people what they are looking at.
  • Links to anything else worth having.

Who this is for

Manufacturers shipping manuals and certificates, trades leaving method statements on site, estate agents with floor plans, event organisers with programmes, and anyone who currently emails the same attachment over and over.

Why not link straight to the file

Because file URLs are brittle. Rename it, move it, replace version two with version three, and the printed code is scrap. A document page is a stable address that outlives the files behind it. It also lets you host several documents behind a single code, and tells you how many people actually opened them.

Common questions

How big can the PDFs be?

Up to 20MB each. If you are routinely above that, the file is probably worth compressing anyway: people open these on mobile data.

Can I see who downloaded a document?

You can see how many times the page was opened, and your scan reports show day, device and country. We do not identify individuals, and we do not store IP addresses.

Can I replace a file without changing the code?

Yes, and that is the whole point. Upload the new version and every printed code serves it immediately.
